ACH Authorization Forms
According to the regulations of the Automated Clearing House (ACH), an electronic network for financial transactions in the United States, customers who wish to allow a business to withdraw payments from or apply credits to their bank account must give the company permission by completing an ACH Authorization Form and placing it on file with the business.
To ensure that all customers on a given billing cycle are required to submit an ACH Authorization Form before being permitted to sign up for recurring ACH, the RequireACHForm field in the T4BillingCyclesPayment table must be true for that billing cycle. This setting allows the client to upload/view/delete an ACH Authorization Form for an account or email the form to the customer.
To email the form to the customer at the Email Address on the bank account form, click the Email ACH Form button
- If the email was successfully sent, a message will appear in read stating “Email sent successfully to” the customer’s email address and the button will be labeled Email Sent
Once the customer has completed the form and returned it,
- Click the Upload an ACH Form for the account link
- Click the Browse button and navigate to the location of the file to be uploaded
- Click the Begin Upload button
- If the file was successfully uploaded, the message “Your file (name of file) has been successfully uploaded” will appear
To comply with the Payment Card Industry security requirements, only the last four digits of the bank account number may be visible on the form that is uploaded to TBS. The client may choose to store the original form showing the entire bank account number at their location, but it may not be uploaded to TBS.
Once a form has been uploaded, the following links will appear:
View the ACH Form for this account – click to view an ACH Form that has been uploaded for a bank account
Delete the ACH Form for this account – click to delete an ACH Form that has been uploaded for a bank account
